falling in love

I’m falling in love with people who give so selflessly, expecting absolutely nothing in return. I’m falling in love with people who live in contentment, in situations we would never dream of being acceptable. I’m falling in love with people who respect each other so much, but still know how to have fun, who still have amazing senses of humor. I’m falling in love with children who are so well-behaved, with such an intense desire to learn. I’m falling in love with people who still hold marriage as something sacred, people who don’t just reside in the same house, they truly love. I’m falling in love with a place where eating is an act of love and gratitude, rather than a selfish thing. I’m falling in love with a place where I don’t worry about running, about the way others see me, because everyone just loves. I’m falling in love with a place where a nap is an everyday occurrence, actually encouraged. I’m falling in love with people who know the meaning of Christian fellowship, who come together to eat and their conversation actually turns to God, something that rarely happens in our version of “Christian fellowship”. I’m falling in love with a place called India.

  5. I'm so happy that you are not only opening yourself up to these people, but getting a glimpse of how much God loves them, too. I love you girl and I am keeping you in my prayers daily. I'm so glad that God has given you this opportunity to share the love of Christ. It is so exciting to hear about the impact they have already made on you! Love ya!

  7. OK...it is Monday, and I've really missed you over Sunday again!!! I am used to not having so much communication during the week, but when your place is not filled at the table for Sunday Dinner, I REALLY THINK ABOUT YOU!!! Also, on Sunday I have many inquiries about your life in India...this Sunday we had an Indian couple from India who are doing ministry there as a medical doctor, and an evangelist. They are friends of the Grimauds and were delighted to hear of your being in their country....and once again, I could only say that you are on the "West India" team that isn't in West India!!!!!!!!!!!!OH WELL!!!!!!!!!!

Austin and I did the huge family garage sale last week....that kept us off the streets for three very busy and productive days!

Jim and Elaine are home from their missions trip to the Dominican Republic. They had a wonderful time. Elaine was so sad to leave friends that truly impacted her life in just one week. I can't imagine how hard it will be to leave new friends of EIGHT weeks! She had me weeping over it, and so I'm all ready to shed a few for you, too!!!

I am going to SD in July (the 13th to the 18th). If you decide you'd like to go, I would send you,.... at some point before Isabella, and the beginning of school. Just let me know if that is something you'd like to consider, and I'd look for a good ticket.

We are planning a family outing to Kansas City on August 7th and 8th...just a little fun for all before school starts. Alex and Miriam have their tickets, and a motel booked, I believe. The rest of us are driving.

It had been quite some time since I touched base, and now I need to give you time to update us, instead of reading my ramblings!!

    YOU ARE LOVED!
